My MAC Palette

A MAC Palette is something that every beauty lover strives to own, i know i wanted one for ages and i have also been working on mine for ages however it is finally complete and i am ready to unveil it to the world. The last addition to the palette that you will have seen was Antiqued. That was almost a year ago and since then i have slowly but surely been adding to my collection and now it is complete! After careful consideration and a long list of shadows i final have 15 that i am happy with and here they are:

Lets start with the Top left Patina, this is one of the first shadows i bought for this palette as Lily Pebbles always talked about it. It is a beautiful nude taupe shade which looks amazing all over the lid. This is definitely one of my favourites from the whole palette. It is a frost finish.

All That Glitters is a Veluxe Pearl finish and is a Champagne shade with a pearly shimmer. I love this for a subtle inner corner highlight or all over the lid. It is one of the better known make eye shadows due to the youtuber who used it in their username a few years ago.

Wedge is a matte shade which is amazing for putting all over the lid and the crease before anything else to make blending much easier. It is a soft beige colour and i have to say i use it almost everyday.

Woodwinked is a very warm shade with flexs of gold in it, it is more of a brown and is a veluxe pearl finish.

Satin Taupe is a classic shade which i'm pretty sure anyone who has had any MAC eyeshadows has probably had this one. It is more of a cool toned taupe with a silver shimmer running through it. Once again this is a frost finish.

Charcoal Brown is also very popular as it is a great one for multitasking, a lot of people use it for their browns as well as an eye shadow however this is too light for my brows, i like something more striking. This is a matte formula and it is a brown shade. It is a good one for the crease as it adds dimension.

Twinks along side Patina is my oldest eyeshadow in this palette and it is a lovely warm brown shade. The MAC website says it is a deep plum but i disagree, it has a hint of plum but it is definitely more brown. I used to wear the in the crease with Patina over the lid for a more subtle eye look. It is a Veluxe Pearl finish.

Bronze Frost finish, brown with a bronze/gold shimmer. I wore this on its own the other day just blended out with a bit of Wedge and it gives the most amazing depth to green eyes. If you have green or hazel eyes then this is a must!

Brun Satin finsh, a deep brown / black shade I have to say though that there is barely any shimmer in this and on the lid it looks like a matte. I love to build this up in the crease for a smoky eye look.

Mulch Velvet finish red/brown with a bronze shimmer, very similar to Bronze but it is a little bit deeper. I must say if i could only have one of the two shades it would probably be this one because of the warmer tones.

Amber Lights I absolutely love this colour, it is super pigmented and beautiful and i like to mix it with twinks to add a little bit of brown with it. It is a gold shade and its a frost finish

Sketch I ordered Sketch online and i've got to say i didn't expect it to be such a purple shade. It is quite a deep purple and i like to use it in the crease. I bought this a few months ago and i do have to say i haven't used it very much. It is a velvet Finish.

Antiqued It is a reddish brown and i always get compliments on this shade when i wear it. It is a veluxe pearl finish. I have a whole review on this linked below if you want to take a look.

Smut To me this is quite a charcoal black shade but it is almost like a concreate grey shade. It is a velvet finish and on the MAC website it says it has a red shimmer running through however i don't notice a red shimmer. It is amazing at making the eye look a little bit more smoky, more so than Brun and paired with Antiqued it looks amazing.

Beauty Marked this is also a velvet finish and it looks very dark in the pan, a deep purple/almost black with a pink shimmer running through it. It reminded me of the shade at the end of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette which i always love when i am in store but i can't justify buying the palette just for that one shade as the whole palette is too pinky for me. The pink shimmer doesn't show up as much as i would like it to but oh well.

I must say i am missing a highlight shade in the palette however i use the Nars X Steven Klein eyeshadow in Mortal for the corner of my eye and because i use such small amount of it, it is going to last me forever. The same goes for a black eye shadow i have one in the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and i rarely use it so i figured i would have shadows i would actually use in the palette. There are a few shades that in hindsight i might not have bought like Sketch but i feel like i have every eye look down with this palette. It has a mixture of cool and warm tones depending on how i am feeling that day and some lighter ones so if i want to keep my look quite basic i can. Since i finished my palette i have pretty much been using it everyday which is a good sign but this is it for my eyeshadow buying for a while.

What shadows would you have in your MAC Palette and is there anything you think i am missing?
