I've been trying to get my hands on NYX stuffs since a very long time and even though I tried ordering from Porkdaisy and other international websites, I had troubles in doing that because I don't own a credit card. So, when I came to know about NYX products on Urbantouch.com, I was quite intrigued to check them out. The most amazing thing I felt about the site was that the NYX products were a lot cheaper than what you'd get in other stores in India, although more expensive than international shopping websites.
But, the most exciting thing I found about urbantouch is that it gives free shipping across India, which was a great plus factor for me to check it out. Usually even from international shopping sites, the shipping rate sometimes crosses the original price of the products and hence is a major let down for me to even try anything on sales.
An icing on the cake with Urbantouch's free shipping is a choice to purchase goods on "Cash on Delivery" mode too. The best thing was that, even for Cash on Delivery they didn't charge even a single extra penny (the way 99labels charges; I still haven't received any of my two purchases from them and I ordered there much before I ordered from Urbantouch).
Anyways, enough of my rantings, so lets get back to what I ordered from Urbantouch. I didn't want to try a large order, so I ordered this NYX runway palette, which I'd been craving to own since a long time. The total cost came out to be around INR 880/- which is a lot cheaper than original INR 1100/- of this palette on other NYX counters in India.
The order was well tracked and shipped the same day to me, of which I received notification too. I received the product within 3 days of shipping. When I saw the package, I was quite impressed with it. The product was well enclosed in a cute black box with "Urbantouch" logo on it. It was further covered with plastic wrap. On opening the box I saw several layers of white thermocol sheets over the NYX palette that was carefully wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap. Beneath the palette were another 4-5 layers of thermocol sheets.
I was quite amazed at the whole look so far, and eagerly opened the palette. But, I was aghast to see the white dust all over the palette and the moment I opened it, one full eyeshadow's white powder fell over my clothes and hands. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of it. All eyeshadows were covered in white powder and the one that was broken was completely gone, reduced to white shimmering dust as if someone had put "Reducto" curse from Harry Potter on it. Another of the eyeshadow was half broken and I felt real pain in my heart to see it that way. I felt angry, sad and shaken and sent a mail to Urbantouch customer care service.
Within 10 minutes of my mail, I received a call from the customer care service apologizing about the damage. They said, they'd re-send a fresh piece to me immediately, and they asked me to update them about the new piece as soon as I get it. Within 20 minutes of this conversation I got a mail ensuring the shipping of the product. They sent it on 7th July and I got it on July 12th in same cute black cardboard case, with lots of bubble wrap this time, thoroughly intact and in perfect condition - my NYX runway palette! :)
So, to sum it all up, some of the most amazing features I've found of Urbantouch are mentioned below:
1) Some real cool brands like NYX etc at prices lower than what you'd get at beauty counters in India.
2) An option to buy stuffs on "Cash on delivery" mode, without having to pay anything extra.
3) They give free shipping in India, and considering that I feel it will cost you lesser than shopping from international websites that offer products at lower prices but charge whooping shipping rates.
4) Lovely classy packaging. I absolutely adore the cute, black cardboard "dabba".
5) Quick and awesome customer service.
Any dislikes? Naa..nothing as of now!! :D
Overall I am very happy with the whole experience and quite amazed and impressed at the quick and such an awesome customer care service from Urbantouch. I am definitely gonna order lots of more goodies from them now onwards. :)
