With the Prussians deployed, it was time for the French.

Historically, the French were outnumbered at Ligny and are slightly outnumbered in this scenario (55 units to 51, including generals). I'm looking at the solid Prussian position wondering how well this attack is going to work...

| The French right -- lots of quality here plus a mass of artillery along the ridge line. This side includes the guard artillery, half the young guard infantry and all of the old guard infantry plus dragoons, hussars and the cuirassiers. Hope that's enough to take Ligny across from them. |

The eyeball test says the Prussians have the advantage -- equal or better numbers plus a strong position along a stream dotted with villages. The French have much better quality, but I wonder if it will be enough.
This will be the first test of Commands & Colors Napoleonic on a large scale. I'm using the Epic rules, so each side will play two cards per turn and I'll also be using the tactician deck, which adds a lot more flavor and allows leaders to move a lot of troops into action.
This should be interesting...
